Eg. This week we talk to Sandra LaToya, singer of Destiny

You’ve been very busy for the past few months.

“Yes, we have! We’ve just signed a contract with MNS Music and now we’re writing songs for a new album. We’re going to record it next month. But before that we were on tour for three months in Europe and America. We did a lot of interviews and appeared on television in ten countries. And we went to the MTV ceremony.”

Tell us about it.

“Oh, it was fantastic. We won a prize for our song Storm Dancing.”

Is that the song about the concert in Detroit?

“Yes, it is. There was a terrible storm that night. At about ten o’clock, we were singing and the audience were dancing. Suddenly there was no electricity and it was completely dark. You couldn’t see anything. Some people were screaming. Luckily, after a few minutes the electricity started working again. We wrote the song about that. “

You’ve changed your image, too. Why is that?

“Yes, my hairstyle is smarter and my clothes are more exotic. I wanted to look a bit more modern.”

You’re going to marry Jake Slater next summer. Will that affect the group?

“No, it won’t. I don’t think the group will split up. We’ve got a lot of plans for the future! If we work hard, we’ll be more famous in the future. “

Transport in Britain often causes problems for visistors. If you go by car, remember that in Britain they drive on the left ( always!), and that they ususally respect the zebra crossings, and they never double park (well, almost never).
Remember, the trains can be expensive. A ticket from London to Edinburgh, for example, can cost 70 pounds!
In big cities, the buses are usually very good. Remember to join the queue: the British are very serious about queues! Have the exact money because the drivers often haven’t got change. Oh, and a recommendation: go upstairs- you can see more!

 Do they drive on the right in Britain?
 Are the trains cheap?
 Do the bus drivers like giving change?
 Where can you see more on a bus?
